No, really. She's seriously my #WomanCrushWednesday.
Sure, Tara Reid may not the best role model - but, she's just living her life not giving a crap. I envy her for that. This is probably the happiest we've ever seen her. Tara said that she's most proud of her work on the Sharknado franchise versus the American Pie franchise! (Don't even get me started on how much I HATE Sharknado.) Why did I feel the need to write about Tara today? Well, she's going to be in Hamilton this weekend for the Hamilton Comic Con and I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I'll have the chance to interview her. I think it would be interesting. I don't know what to expect from her (search some of her interviews on YouTube and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about). What do you think of Tara Reid? Will you be hitting up Comic Con? Comment below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! The Daily Show will never be the same without our "political dad" Jon Stewart.
Last night, new host Trevor Noah made his debut and some people felt very strong, and others felt nothing at all. I found myself somewhere in the middle. It doesn't help that he has humongous shoes to fill, and he's also new to this whole show business thing. His jokes were nothing out of the ordinary - I found it very easy to keep a straight face throughout the show. Watching his previous work, I didn't feel any urges to laugh. He's just blah. Majority of critics are on my side, while a small bunch think that The Daily Show hasn't changed one bit. I'll give it another shot tonight, and then the next day, and the day after that, etc. My point is, the ratings will be fantabulous the first week, but the weeks that follow are crucial and will determine the future of The Daily Show. Did you tune in? Comment your thoughts below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! It's hard to not know that tomorrow is my birthday because I haven't shut up about it and have been sharing my excitement all over social media and I want you to join in on the fun too.
Last year, I dedicated a whole week to my birthday on here (#BirthdayWeek edition posts), this year I have decided to make a hashtag and I hope it will catch. The goal of #ProjectSav18 is to get it trending, at least in Canada, and to make it easy for you to follow me as I celebrate my 18th birthday from September 26th (actual day) to September 28th. I will be using the hashtag to tag anything related to my birthday, whether it be posting a picture of my free birthday drink from Starbucks (guaranteed you will find that on my Instagram first thing in the morning), or celebrating with friends and family, or something super duper special. What might that super duper special thing be? On Monday, I will be attending a taping of CTV's The Social now that I am old enough to be in the audience. For me, this is more exciting and groundbreaking than being able to vote in the federal election. I will also be meeting the ladies (see the #WomanCrushWednesday interviews that I did with Melissa Grelo and Cynthia Loyst), possibly interviewing Traci and Lainey, and maybe meeting a few other personalities that work at Bell Media. Ahhhhh I can't wait and I hope you'll join me in making this year extra special. Well I definitely didn't see this coming!
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin announced that they were dating two days ago, and today they told the world that they are expecting a baby together. Hmm... Something is fishy about this announcement business. I don't want to start anything as I am not associated with the couple in anyway, but it seems a little weird that the baby announcement came 48 hours after we found out about their "relationship". Perhaps this was a one-night-stand gone wrong? Ah, who knows. It's not like they're going to admit it if this is indeed the case. Regardless, I wish them and their baby all of the best. What do you think about this? Are you as surprised as I am? Comment below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! It's update time!
My summer vacay is coming to an end and I am so pumped for what is to come! Big things are happening for and at Cable 14. They just launched an app (talk about getting with the times) called Cable 14 NOW making it easier for people to watch their shows and access exclusive content. And guest what? You do not need to be a Cogeco, Rogers or Source cable subscriber! As long as Rogers is your mobile carrier, you can view Cable 14 NOW on your phone and/or tablet. Really cool if you ask me - the mayor of Hamilton even tested it out at the launch event last night! Now you're probably wondering what I'm up to as I promised to give you more details about my involvement with Hamilton Life in the last #WhatsUpWednesday. I will be both a segment producer and guest entertainment expert. I filled you in about my role as the guest entertainment expert, but this is the first you're hearing about my role as the segment producer. As segment producer, I am working with producer and host Linda Rourke to put together unique and fun segments for the show. We've spent the last couple of days putting together the first three episodes together which has been a lot of work and fun at the same time. Hamilton Life starts taping and airing on Tuesday, September 29th. Keep it locked on my social media pages for times and maybe one or two or five behind the scenes pictures. And finally, I'd like to share something that I found out only a couple of days ago... I am going to be working behind the scenes and helping out with Hamilton Eats! I get to go around to multiple Hamilton restaurants with Chef Dan Megna (host), and James Bell (camera) to see how signature dishes are made (and hopefully sample a couple too). I love food so this will without a doubt be an adventure (and maybe a wee bit of a challenge to stay in shape). So much is happening in and around Cable 14 and I am so happy that I get to be a part of it. I'd like to thank them, and you, for all of your support. Stay tuned for more. |
