The Daily Show will never be the same without our "political dad" Jon Stewart.
Last night, new host Trevor Noah made his debut and some people felt very strong, and others felt nothing at all. I found myself somewhere in the middle. It doesn't help that he has humongous shoes to fill, and he's also new to this whole show business thing. His jokes were nothing out of the ordinary - I found it very easy to keep a straight face throughout the show. Watching his previous work, I didn't feel any urges to laugh. He's just blah. Majority of critics are on my side, while a small bunch think that The Daily Show hasn't changed one bit. I'll give it another shot tonight, and then the next day, and the day after that, etc. My point is, the ratings will be fantabulous the first week, but the weeks that follow are crucial and will determine the future of The Daily Show.
