Natalie Portman won Best Actress for her role in Jackie at the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday, December 11. Here’s a breakdown on her look and the products you need to recreate it.

Her makeup look was classic and very Jackie O inspired with the signature red lip. Natalie played up her lips as the key feature in her look. The classic blue red is chic and is easily wearable today or back in the 60’s.

She played up her eyes using a dark chocolate brown liner that was softly smoked out. Shadows were neutral and kept matte to softly contour the eyes. Brows were soft and full and look to be filled in with brow powder. Her complexion was flawless with a matte finish. She decided not to do any contouring but instead opted for a soft pink on the cheeks. This look is wearable and timeless and perfect for the holiday season.

The future President and Kanye West had a meeting at Trump Tower which had a significant impact on the World Wide Web. 

Both parties have had their own issues recently with Trump being elected and Kanye having a full out meltdown resulting in him being hospitalized out of fear for his life. Mr. West explained why the two met when he returned to Twitter (if you're not following him and you're into totally uncalled for rants, do it ASAP - same goes for Trump). It was only a matter of time before one of the two hopped onto their favourite social media site to do some explaining. Turns out the meeting was for good reason, but I'm convinced there's more happening than what meets the eye. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just after finishing up with the Critics' Choice Awards last night, we heard the names of the 2017 Golden Globe nominees just moments ago. So I suppose you can consider this a recap of Critics' Choice along with predictions for the Golden Globes. Despite the ground being covered in cold white stuff, today is the one day that I'm happy to be in Toronto and not L.A. because the press conference started at 5:15 am PT. 

I was quick to make predictions considering the winners are usually the same at all of the award shows. Before I go there though, I must mention that I'm glad Jimmy Fallon is hosting. It seems to be the battle of the late night hosts when it comes to hosting this season. Now, for the nominees.

Notable snubs: Tom Hanks (Sully), Taraji P. Henson (Hidden Figures) and Silence. The rest of the nominations were all one in the same. It's looking like it'll be war between Moonlight and La La Land. Fortunately for them, they are separated in the Comedy/Musical and Drama categories this time around for Best Picture as well as a few other categories. People v. O.J. will dominate in all of the TV categories, but honestly, I'm all about the film. 

Casey Affleck will hopefully continue winning Best Actor (Drama, Manchester By The Sea), Natalie Portman for Best Actress (Drama, Jackie), Damien Chazelle for Best Director (La La Land), Viola Davis for Best Supporting Actress (Fences), Mahershala Ali for Best Supporting Actor (Moonlight), City of Stars for Best Song (La La Land), La La Land for Best Original Score, La La Land for Best Picture Musical/Comedy,  Moonlight for Best Picture Drama, Elle for Best Foreign Film, and Zootopia for Best Animated Film. 

The comedy actor and actress categories have many possiblilties. Last night, Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) and Meryl Streep (Florence Foster Jenkins) won. Also, note that Deadpool won Best Picture - Comedy, but will be facing off against La La Land at the Golden Globes. There could be a major upset if it wins again. 

That's all from me regarding award season for right now, but I will have more for you when the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) announces the nominees in a couple of days.

The show will go on this Sunday even after host TJ Miller was arrested for battery.

I'm looking forward to seeing who wins in the film categories more than the TV categories. I feel like there should be an award show for each, instead of combining them. Also, I'll have a better idea of what to watch over the holidays ahead of the Golden Globes, SAGs, and Academy Awards. 

Moonlight, La La Land, and Arrival had the most nominations, but only one can win Best Picture. I predict that La La Land is going to dominate and Moonlight will only take home a couple so they don't feel left out. Also, can we please all agree that space movies are a thing of the past? Arrival, despite having a lot of nominations, isn't going to be getting a lot of buzz post-season. In fact, after the Critics' Choice Awards, all you'll be hearing about is La La Land. 

For Best Actor (Drama), I'm rooting for Casey Affleck (yes, Ben Affleck's bro). Best Actor (Comedy) has to go to Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool - no ifs, ands or buts. Best Actress (Drama), I've heard nothing but good things about Natalie Portman in Jackie so I'll go for her. Best Animated Feature, I'd really like to see Disney's Moana win. Best Director, either the director or La La Land or Moonlight (I'll know there names after this weekend, I promise). The rest I will figure out the day of.

That was the best LIVE show they've put on - I never thought I would say that after one disappointing live production after another. 

Hairspray is one of favourites, so I went into this last night with high expectations. All it took was a cast full of A-listers and spectacular choreography to have me dancing and singing in my living room. Derek Hough is 100% swoonworthy as Corny Collins. The Turnbald fam was exceptional with Martin Short as Wilbur and  Harvey Fierstein as Edna. Maddie Baillio killed it as Tracy (and don't even get me started about when she joined Ricki Lake and Marissa Jaret Winkour as they did cameos as Pinkettes). The moral of the story is every single cast member slayed - there are too many to name. 

The ending was my favourite because Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson performed together and their outfits are now in my dreams.
