Guys! Tomorrow's December 1st!
If you haven't already started prancing around singing Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You (that's exactly what I'm doing at this very second), now's the time! Here is my Christmas cheer playlist (warning - I like Christmas music that doesn't sound like Christmas music): 1) Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (feat. Jermaine Dupri & Lil Bow Wow) [So So Def Remix] 2) Run DMC - Christmas In Hollis 3) Britney Spears - My Only Wish (This Year) 4) Jose Feliciano - Feliz Navidad 5) Wham! - Last Christmas 6) Destiny's Child - 8 Days of Christmas 7) Christina Aguilera - Christmas Time 8) Justin Bieber - Mistletoe 9) Faith Hill - Where Are You Christmas 10) Michael Buble - Holly Jolly Christmas Which Christmas songs do you jam out to in order to get in the Christmas spirit? Comment below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! This interview release is a tad overdue, but here'e footage from when I caught up with Trevor and Victoria from Family Channel's The Next Step at #HamFilmX: Have you guys placed your bets on who's going to win Best Picture at this year's Academy Awards yet? Too soon? Well, these next few months will have people arguing with one another over which films are Oscar-worthy and which films are not. I've decided to share my list of films (in no particular order) that I think will be worth watching and will more than likely pop up at one, two, or all of the award shows this season. Concussion - Will Smith is tackling (pun intended) the issue of concussions in the NFL and how they're dealt with. Spotlight - Prediction: this is going to win all of the awards. A star-studded cast, based on a scandalous true story - what more could you ask for? Carol - This is a groundbreaking one. Two leading ladies who, when nominated, are both in the Best Lead Actress category! The Danish Girl - This could give Eddie Redmayne another Best Actor Oscar. Room - This film is getting a lot of buzz. Not included above: Anomalisa, The End of The Tour and 99 Homes.
Are you going to be watching any of these films ahead of award show madness? Anything I missed? Let me know in the comments below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! Kodette LaBarbera is clearly pretty special, hence why she's being featured in another blog post (see the first one here).
The first half of the second season of W's Hockey Wives has aired and it is definitely more intimate than the first season. Kodette said that there's more of a focus on family this time around. Known for her charity work, we got to see Kodette in action at her charity golf tournament which gave us all of the feels. If you do not recall, her son has Autism so she gives a lot of her time to raising awareness and supporting families in similar situations. She said that doing charity work has help her come into her own and have her own passion since being married to Jason LaBarbera. It also helps that has an amazing wing woman who tells it like it is - fellow Hockey Wife Tiffany Parros. Kodette and I chatted about how we sometimes need a nice kick in the butt to bring us back to planet earth. I think I can relate to Tiffany as I'll tell you what you need to hear versus what you want to hear. I cannot stress enough how much of an inspiration Kodette is and it is amazing that we get to see her story play out. Even to see mothers of children with Autism share their stories in the comments sections of interviews she's done. It gives you a reality check and you realize that there's people out there struggling - and more than you think. Hockey Wives will return with new episodes in March. BREAKING: Jennifer Lawrence has been chosen as Entertainment Weekly's 2015 Entertainer of the Year and I could not agree more with this considering her success, amazing personality, and the fact that she's the realest thing you'll find in Hollywood.
This is just the beginning for Jennifer Lawrence. Other stars who have been honoured with the same title include Jodie Foster (1991), Ben Affleck (2012), and Jimmy Fallon (2014). Maybe I'll be dubbed 2016 Entertainer of the Year! (I'm just kidding. Chill.) With 2015/2016 award season quickly approaching - the Gotham Awards are next week (just thought I'd add that in there) - you can't help but wonder what J.Law has in store for us. Her red carpet interviews always leave you scratching your head and she's not exactly known for her coordination. Oh my goodness I can't wait until next week! Do you think Jennifer Lawrence was the right choice? Who would you have picked instead? Comment below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! |
