#MusicMonday: 2017 BBMAs Recap
I almost decided to forego watching this mediocre award show, but I'm glad I tuned in.
Cher, Celine Dion, Drake and Bruno Mars were just some of the artists that hit the Billboard Music Awards stage. Since I am trying to approach life in a more positive manor, I am not even going to bother mentioning hosts Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens. Instead, I'll highlight my top three favourite moments of the night.
This was what convinced me to watch the BBMAs. The icon received the Billboard Icon Award and performed at an award show for the first time in 15 years. At 71 years-old, she absolutely stayed when she performed her hits "Believe" and "If I Could Turn Back Time". Check out her acceptance speech below.
2. Celine Dion
How has it been 20 years since Titanic was released? Celine Dion wowed everyone (obviously) when she performed "My Heart Will Go On". The emotion and beauty was too much to handle. Take a look for yourselves below:
3. Drake (Insert multiple fire emojis)
Holy hotness. Drake was looking mighty fine as he beat Adele's record for most BBMAs in a year. He took home 13 awards including Top Male Artist, Artist of The Year, Top Rap Artist, and Top Hot 100 Artist. He actually managed to win in every category he was nominated in.
