This post was submitted by contributor Sara Height. Emma Stone was channeling retro Hollywood starlet at the 2017 SAG Awards rocking a sultry makeup look. She was awarded best actress at the awards show for her stand-out performance in the smash hit La La Land. Emma’s flawless pale complexion was kept matte with minimal blush. Her brows were kept natural and softly filled in with powder to compliment her auburn hair. She played up her almond green eyes using bold black liner. To keep the eyes looking bright and open she accented her inner corners with a soft gold shimmer eyeshadow. Emma finished her look with a peachy pink lipstick that kept the focus on her dramatic eye look. Here are the products you will need to create this sultry makeup look: I don't care if this doesn't count as #TuneInThursday news, it's HUGE!
George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney are expecting twins! Yes, the guy who said he'd never get married is going to be a daddy to TWO little people. Unlike the rest of the world, Matt Damon had the inside scoop and found out from George "months ago". The couple is due in June. I'm pretty pumped about this. 2017 isn't too shitty with both Clooney and Beyoncé bringing twins into the world. A slew of other celebrities announced that they're expecting, but who could remember when you're taking in celebrity royalty's baby announcements. Congratulations to all in Hollywood who are becoming parents - I wish them nothing but good health and happiness! This post features a Q&A conducted by Saverina with contributor Dr. Andrea Maxim.
Should we go vegan because that’s what Beyoncé is doing, or should we wait until we’ve done thorough research? Going vegan is completely a personal choice. I don’t recommend starting a diet just because a celebrity is doing it, you should pick a diet program because it fully resonates with you and you’re motivated to adapt your lifestyle to it. Vegan is NOT easy. If you’re currently a meat eater, going straight to vegan is going to be a tough transition. Why would someone choose to go vegan? Most commonly it’s exposure to animal cruelty and choosing not to support farm-raised animals. With documentaries like, Cowspiracy and Food, Inc. more and more people are learning just where our commercially raised meat is coming from and how the animals are being treated. For many, that’s enough to get them off of anything “animal” for life. Others might have friends that have gone vegan and are exposed to this kind of eating through their peers or people they look up to. How do you transition? The best way to transition is to start vegetarian first. Get used to getting your proteins from sources other than meat. This will be the most difficult part. For most, it’s already hard enough to consume enough protein throughout the day, let alone cutting out animal protein completely to do so. Luckily, transitioning to vegetarian then to vegan is much easier with the popularity it has received. Many companies now produce all vegan protein powders and supplement lines. Speaking of which, transitioning to vegetarian or vegan automatically means you wont get enough iron and vitamin B12 in your diet, so be ready to start taking that every day. (The best source of iron and B12 in the diet comes from animal meats, like red meat). Again, I cannot stress enough how difficult it is to do vegan “right”. You really need to get ready to mass prep and make almost all of your meals from scratch. There are still very few restaurants that offer vegan alternatives, so much of the responsibility is on you to prepare your food ahead of time in order to eat your meals. #TrendingTuesday: Jamie Lynn Spears' Daughter Alert After Tragic ATV Accident Over The Weekend7/2/2017 The Spears family has some good news after a hard weekend.
Jamie Lynn Spears' 8 year-old daughter Maddie is recovering after an ATV accident. It occurred at her family home in Louisiana on Sunday afternoon, when she received an ATV as a gift for her birthday. She drove into a pond and since she was secured by a seatbelt, her family was unable to get her out. Maddie was under water for 2 minutes before the ambulance arrived and got her out. Now, she's awake and talking. Thank goodness! This is the #TrendingTuesday news that I love to write about. I wish the family all of the best. Super Bowl is about way more than just a football game that's kind of a big deal. The commercials and halftime show usually get more buzz. This Super Bowl was a bit wild. For football fans, the New England Patriots won their 5th Super Bowl, with Tom Brady being the first quarterback to win five Super Bowls. It wasn't without a fight as Atlanta was kicking their ass up until the last quarter when the Patriots tied things up. For the first time in Super Bowl history, they went into overtime where New England ended things with a touchdown. In my opinion it was questionable considering the ball was on the line when the player's knee touched the ground, but whatever. What's done is done. My football-watching days are over until the next Super Bowl. The commercials were epic as per usual. My favourite one would have to be when Christopher Walken dramatically recited the lyrics of *NSYNC's 'Bye, Bye, Bye' to Justin Timberlake, while others may argue that Justin Bieber's T-Mobile spot was the best. Take a look at both below: Lady Gaga was Lady Gaga when she took the stage for the halftime show. It was good, but it wasn't the best halftime show ever like most people are saying. I think Bruno Mars and Beyoncé's dance-off last year takes the cake for best halftime show performance ever. Speaking of Beyoncé - was I the only one with my fingers, eyes and toes crossed that she would come out during Gaga's performance of 'Telephone'? That would have made it the best performance ever. At the beginning of her performance, Lady Gaga made sure to use that time to speak about inclusion. Then to top it all off, she announced the tour dates for her Joanne World Tour. Check them out here.
