Ladies (and gents) let's get in formation and talk about how Bey slayed the halftime performance as Coldplay's "special guest". HA! As if Ms. Carter would ever just stand to the side and let someone else shine. It took a green smoothie and some fried potatoes to cure my Beyoncé hangover. Beyoncé was on fire all weekend long with the release of a new single and music video (Formation), SuperBowl halftime performance, and a world tour announcement. She made a clear statement about black rights, Hurricane Katrina and police brutality. Some are loving it, others not so much. But haters are going to hate. My favourite moment would have to be when Bruno Mars and Bey had a dance-off. (She missed a step but recovered like the flawless queen that she is.) A lot of people are complaining about how she took over and made it the Beyoncé show. All I'm thinking about is how the hell I'm going to get enough money to go see her in concert when she comes to Toronto in May. I mean, come on. Are you really that surprised that she was the highlight of the night? Coldplay didn't suck and Bruno Mars was pretty good (paid a nice tribute to Janet Jackson who has reportedly been banned from the SuperBowl for life since her nipple was exposed during the halftime show back in 2004). If it was just Coldplay performing, I doubt there'd be as much buzz. So kudos to all three performers for putting on a show for the books.
Now, who wants to contribute to my Beyoncé concert funds? I kid. What did you think? Did you watch? Do you think the performance is overrated? Comment your thoughts below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS! The photo above pretty much sums up how I've spent the last three SuperBowl Sundays. Pour some rootbeer in a mug over ice and I'm set.
Don't ask me how this tradition started, it just kind of happened. My dad and I set up camp in front of the TV, one of us usually falls asleep at some point during the game (my dad during the first half, me after the second half after there's nothing left worth watching *read: halftime show*), and inhale all of the junk food our heart desires. Well, this year is going to be slightly different with #SavsFitJourney happening. No digestive cookies, no rootbeer -- but there's going to be Beyonce. Beyonce is the answer to all of my problems. Maybe I'll have some healthy popcorn or a carrot or two. What are you doing for #SB50? Comment below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS!
Usually #TuneInThursday is TV or film related, but some people in the music industry just can't leave things in the past so they leave me no choice but to write this post (sarcasm).
Nicki Minaj is bringing back one of the more memorable celebrity feuds from 2015... The wild fallout took place at the VMAs last year when Miley slammed Nicki during a magazine interview and then Nicki confronted Miley on stage at the award show (that she was hosting) famously asking her what's good. Well, that wasn't enough to get what she was feeling off her chest so she took a shot at Miley in her new Yo Gotti remix of Down in the DM. Actually, one of the lines is "Miley, what's good". Oof. Miss. Cyrus wasn't the only target. Presumably Fox host Bill O'Reilly (he's not very popular with the rap community) is also mentioned. Check out the song below and beware of explicit language:
Do you think she should move on? What should Miley do? Comment your thoughts below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS!
I can't imagine a world without music. It is impossible for me to think about working out without channeling my inner Jay Z or 50 Cent. I strongly believe that music makes every fitness routine 1000 times easier and I want to help you out. Check out the official #SavsFitJourney playlist and comment below some of your favourite tunes to exercise to.

Let me just say, you will not be disappointed. I mean look at the look on Leo's face in the picture above from the Golden Globes. Perfection! This picture from the SAGs is even better. I can't believe we have to wait 3 weeks to hopefully see another candid moment shared between the Titanic duo. Does it make your heart happy to see these two reunited? Or could you do without seeing the pictures above? Comment below or tweet me @MissSaverinaS!
