Happy birthday Betty White! The funny lady has turned 95, and I'm sure that I'm not alone in being thankful that she survived 2016 (ugh, let's never acknowledge that year from this point on).
She's still kicking around, more active than me. Her love for life and work inspires me everyday. Whatever comes out of her mouth never phases to amaze me and have me in tears from laughing. I love watching clips from The Golden Girls and I used to watch Hot In Cleveland religiously (please bring that show back ASAP). Her roles in The Proposal and You Again never get old. Betty is a talented woman and beautiful inside and out. I hope this year brings her good health, happiness and success! Welcome to the first #MusicMonday Q&A of 2017 with Canadian artist Tyler Shaw! He was kind enough to take the time to answer a few of my questions. Check out the interview below: Describe yourself in one word. MOTIVATED. What is your personal definition of success? Success to me, means taking the time to find something that interests you and building a future for yourself that keeps you happy, doing what you love to do. For me, as a musician, I had a passion for writing songs and performing them live for audiences. I am fortunate enough to do what I love every day. That makes me feel successful, and also keeps me motivated. How do you go about setting and achieving your goals? I’m practical about goal setting. I like to have to do lists for every week of things I need to accomplish and then setting big goals for the year that I share with my team and we work towards marking them off my list. That’s such a satisfying feeling to cross something off a list. This article is by SaverinaScozzari.com contributor Sara Height. Viola Davis won her first Golden Globe at the 2017 award show for her supporting role in Fences. Viola refined look featured a soft smokey eye and glossy lips that complemented rather than competed with her striking yellow Michael Kors gown. Wearing a bold gown she played up her features with her makeup choices but kept the colour palette muted and neutral.
Her eyes were defined with charcoal black liner and a shimmery gold eyeshadow. She chose to accent her eye look with a pair of wispy false lashes. Viola’s complexion was left glowy with just a hint of berry blush. Her lipstick choice was a subtle brown nude shade with a glossy finish. Viola’s look is neutral and polished and can easily be recreated for day time or evening look. Here's what to use to recreate Viola's look: #TuneInThursday: Urban Myths and Joseph Fiennes Getting A Lot Of Hate For Michael Jackson Casting12/1/2017 UPDATE: The Urban Myths episode has been pulled.
Good luck getting this image out of your head within the next 10 years. Seriously though, Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson for Urban Myths looks more like Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz than the King of Pop. It's frightening and just wrong. I'm having issues writing this as this picture is right in my face and I'm not alone in feeling this way. MJ's own family members including his daughter Paris and nephew Taj have voiced their disapproval of the casting. I'm not sure if this is a matter of casting, or makeup. Look at that nose! It's not even close. It's like Beyoncé's wax figure in Niagara Falls... Horrifying! If you need some context for all of this, Urban Myths is a made-for-television series and the episode causing so much controversy is following MJ, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor's road trip from New York to Ohio after 9/11. I think it's safe to say that I won't be watching. What are your thoughts on this?
