Good luck getting this image out of your head within the next 10 years. Seriously though, Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson for Urban Myths looks more like Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz than the King of Pop. It's frightening and just wrong. I'm having issues writing this as this picture is right in my face and I'm not alone in feeling this way. MJ's own family members including his daughter Paris and nephew Taj have voiced their disapproval of the casting. I'm not sure if this is a matter of casting, or makeup. Look at that nose! It's not even close. It's like Beyoncé's wax figure in Niagara Falls... Horrifying! If you need some context for all of this, Urban Myths is a made-for-television series and the episode causing so much controversy is following MJ, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor's road trip from New York to Ohio after 9/11. I think it's safe to say that I won't be watching. What are your thoughts on this? Sound off in the comments! |
