I don't feel right about blogging about celebrity news when there have been some really devastating headlines reported today in the real world. So here's #TrendingTuesday sad news day edition.
First, this morning the world woke up to the news of 2 attacks in Brussels. One was a suicide bombing, the other an explosion. At least 30 people died and over 100 were left injured. ISIS has claimed responsibility for these attacks and police have released a picture taken from security cameras of the three suspects. Authorities are saying that they were somewhat expecting an attack as Brussels is headquarters for the investigations of last year's Paris attacks. Everyone else was absolutely stunned - including myself - that this is still a problem. Next up, an Ontario high school received phone threats and the fire alarm was pulled causing the school to evacuate the students to a nearby recreation centre where they were then held under a hold and secure. Last I heard, parents were able to pick their kids up. And finally, or the last sad headline that I am aware of, is the news of former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's death. He passed away after a hard battle with a rare form of cancer at only 46 years old. Ladies and gents, let's keep everyone in our thoughts and send positive vibes their way. We live in a very scary world that seems to become more real with every tragedy. It's extremely frustrating that there hasn't been a way to prevent what happened in Brussels and everywhere else that has been experiencing this. My faith for a better and safer future is wearing thin. I hope that tomorrow's a brighter day. |
