After Beyoncé backed out of headlining Coachella due to doctors orders as she's expecting twins not long after (she's postponed her appearance to 2018), a major replacement was needed. Well, Lady Gaga is here to save the day.
The recent Super Bowl headliner confirmed the news with a post on Instagram sharing Coachella's graphic with the caption "let's party in the desert". I don't know about you guys, but Coachella is one of those things that I love to hate. It's where you'll find girls rocking flower crowns and doing other "basic" stuff. It seems kind of overrated, but I will say that if I was given the opportunity to go I would totally take it. Maybe I'll go next year when Beyoncé headlines - if she doesn't cancel again. Yup, you read that right. It's the only way to describe what went down last night. I will never be over that awkward, confusing and embarrassing ending. It took me a while to put my thoughts into words (my heart, stomach and liver are happy after another successful Oscars party). Warren Beatty looked a little confused as he hesitated announcing La La Land as the Best Picture winner. Halfway through their acceptance speech, Warren, Jimmy Kimmel and a producer rushed the stage to say there was a mistake - Moonlight won. Holy effing shit. This was not happening, it must have been a joke gone wrong. Turns out the people responsible for the envelopes gave Warren the wrong envelope - the one for Best Actress that had "Emma Stone, La La Land" on it. The producers of La La Land were extremely classy in the way they handled it inviting the Moonlight peeps onto the stage to have their moment. Like I said before, I will never be over this. Miss Universe tweeted The Academy saying, "Have your people contact our people, we know what to do." Steve Harvey even put in his 2 cents as he was the butt of all jokes when he announced the wrong winner at Miss Universe. Did I say that I'll never be over this? Other things happened, like Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel taking their feud to the award show, candy fell from the ceiling, the kid from Lion (Sunny Pawar) killed us all with cuteness, Justin Timberlake had us all dancing right at the start of the show, and tourists stumbled into the Dolby Theatre not knowing they were walking into a place filled with the biggest stars. As for the winners of the big awards, La La Land's Damien Chazelle won Best Director, Emma Stone (La La Land) won Best Actress and Casey Affleck (Manchester By The Sea) won Best Actor. That's the best I can do in summing up a wild night. Did you tune in? What were your highs and lows? Comment below! This weekend marks the end of award season, so I will have tons of time to binge-watch. Netflix's March lineup has me excited as we're in for a new Amy Schumer comedy special and a bunch of new Netflix Originals. Check out the list below:

Here is a Q&A that Saverina did with Dr. Andrea Maxim about the importance of sleep:
Does sleep influence the desired results of your fitness routine/diet? Absolutely! Sleep deprivation pretty much affects anything health-related. Just think about it… if you’re working out hard at the gym, you feel the burn in your muscles (lactic acid release) and yet you have an incredibly busy day – go go go. When would your body get a chance to heal and repair? Night time! In fact, your body does all of your physical healing fro 10pm-2am and your mental-emotional healing from 2am-6am. That means, if you’re going to bed too late, or your sleep is disrupted so will the amount of time your body can effectively heal. How much sleep should you be getting each night? There is no “defined amount of time”. Quite honestly, it all depends on how you feel. If you sleep 6hrs but wake feeling rested, and full of energy, without the need to caffinate, then 6 hours is probably right for you. Most women need a minimum of 8 hours. I myself, require at least 9 hours to keep me energized and alert during the day. The amount of hours of sleep that you need every day will also depend on your mental stress and your energy output during the day. Some weeks you will need more sleep and other times you can survive off less. One thing that you should promise yourself is that, when you can sleep – you sleep! If you need to take a nap during the day, do so, without any guilt. Your body needs sleep to give you any positive health result! What would you recommend doing to get more sleep? There are many reasons why sleep can be affected: Stress (mind racing), eating or drinking too close to bedtime, sleeping with bright lights (TV, iPad, light through your window or hallway, alarm clock), snoring partner, young children, etc. Identifying WHY your sleep is affected is step #1 to starting to improve it. Other things you can take are magnesium before bed or drink a chamomile or “sleepy” tea. Melatonin can be used too if falling asleep is your problem. I feel like this is the most exciting and #TrendingTuesday worthy news - I mean pretty much every celebrity you can think of is going to be in Smurfs: The Lost Village.
Demi Lovato will be playing Smurfette, Joe Manganiello as Hefty Smurf, Ariel Winter as SmurfLily, Julia Roberts as SmurfWillon and Tituss Burges as Vanity Smurf. See I wasn't kidding when I said this film was star-studded. I'm not sure why they're making another Smurfs film considering Smurfs 2 was painful to watch, but it's happening. The film is set to hit theatres on April 7th. E! Online released a few pictures of the celebs mentioned above with their characters. Check out a couple below and click here to see the rest. |
