Hi everyone! I’m Sargon, your guy for everything current. I live in Hamilton, Ontario and work as a hairstylist. I’ve been in the industry for about 8 years and absolutely love what I do. My first love is art and is basically the foundation for everything I enjoy (in my spare time or work).
I live for visually rich and captivating imagery. Hobbies include reading (autobiographies and fiction), movies (I like to check out what's new about twice a month), listening to music (Apple Music and concerts) and creating beautiful things! We'll be seeing each other once a month and I can't wait to chat about the latest and greatest. Don't forget to follow me @sargon.daved! Take care & brush your hair, Sargon Holy effing shit. That did not just happen.
Survivor just got interesting after contestant Jeff Varner revealed that contestant Zeke Smith is transgender during tribal council last night in order to save his ass and "show deception". So cringeworthy and the whole World Wide Web has sounded off on the whole thing leading Jeff to apologize on Instagram and Zeke to share his thoughts and feelings. According to Jeff, it was the worst decision of his life, while Zeke is proud of how he handled it. Now media outlets are breaking down how the show is the most low-key progressive reality show because of how the whole sitch was dealt with. They are saying that Survivor missed out on an opportunity by not promoting the fact that they cast a transgender contestant for the first time ever. It could have earned them extra attention in the press and perhaps targeted a new audience. I think Jeff pulled a dick move and there is a serious need for some kind of morals and or boundaries. I'm all about Freestyle right now!
You can find me killing it on the elliptical to Stevie B's Spring Love, Frankie J's Let The Music Take Control, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam's Can You Feel The Beat and Lil Suzy's Take Me In Your Arms. Music is everything. You need a decent playlist to get you through trying times such as a kickass cardio session. Mixed in with freestyle hits are a few songs from Nelly, Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey, Shaggy, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Madonna, The Pussycat Dolls, and more. I often don't realize when my lip syncing turns into loud horrendous singing and/or rapping. For more on what I'm listening to, check me out on Spotify! Am I the only one who forgot about Caitlyn Jenner?
She's been very quiet since the ESPN Awards and only recently resurfaced on Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The timing is perfect (the Kardashians/Jenners are marketing goddesses) as Caitlyn is releasing a memoir titled The Secrets of My Life on April 25th and a new sit-down with Diane Sawyer is airing on April 21st. In the book, she revealed that she went through with the surgery and feels like she can finally be free to live her life. There has been a lot of speculation and she said that everyone can stop staring now that they know. I'm happy that Caitlyn is happy and I think that's all that matters. It's been a tough road for her, but she's managed to stay strong and turn her very public journey into an opportunity to help others in similar situations. It's about time another award show happened (or at least one that I somewhat care about)!
